JONDRUM DJ | Live Performer | Producer       JonDrum aka Jonathan Jean Vargas was born on May 6th, 1984 in San Cristobal, Dominican Rep. His passion for music began at the age of 12, when his father, a director of a christian vocal group took him to the rehearsals. Later on at the age of 15, he became influenced by Heroes del Silencio, Guns n' Roses, Iron Maiden, Rhapsody and Dream Theater. In the year 2000, along with his brother Kuno at the guitar, a friend on the bass and himself on the vocals, created the first rock band in Haina "Los D'Al Lado". For the year 2002, he begins listening to Enya, Enigma, Fifthless and some Progressive sets from Tenaglia, Lawler and Digweed. The same year, he leaves the band and begins to experiment with his father's electronic keyboard, making new age and trip-hop music influenced by Amaury Gomez, Aneudy Baez. In late 2002 JonDrum begins his music production with the help of a computer, creating a very minimalist and electro sound. By 2008 JonDrum has been involved in a great number of projects and labels, producing house, minimal, techno and electro.
