CTRL DJ | Producer      Meet David Mckinney, a 23-Year old DJ/Producer who has quickly gained recognition as one of Dominican Republic's most promising new performers. At the tender age of 11, Mckinney had his first taste of the bittersweet sounds of electronic music from performers such as Daft Punk, Prodigy, Orbital, Aphex Twin, Underworld, and The Chemical Bros, quickly becoming fascinated with the Euro/UK Electronic Scene. At 17, while working as a Heavy Metal Rock DJ at local radio station, McKinney began to experiment with production and studio engineering equipment, developing a greater love for electronic music. Finally, After becoming mesmerized by Ibiza legend Seb Fontaine spinning records, David decided do some mixing of his own. From there on, it's been a wild ride! In less than a year, Mckinney has become a well known figure within the New Generation of Underground DJs in Dominican Republic. Performing at well-known local spots and at events such as MNML REHAB and CTRL+ALT+DELETE, his "clicky-alienesque" sounds have electrified crowds of all sizes. Under the moniker [CTRL], he is constantly working on new tracks and remixes at his home-based studio. Mckinney is currently in Santo Domingo working on the development of his own label: Robotmusik.
