About Us
What is Apartment 1907?
Apartment 1907 is an electronic music net label/booking agency from the Dominican Republic. This label was founded by a young DJ and producer. The idea of this net label came about one day in mid 2008, while he was living in his apartment in Daytona Beach, Fl. With the idea of the net label concrete, a name was yet to be decided on. Through frustration and continuous hard work, he was determined to have a name that stood out from the rest of the labels. After spending much time searching for the right name he finally came to the decision to use his apartment number as the name for this project, hence the name Apartment 1907.

The net label consists of a group of young and talented DJ’s, producers, and live performers from all over the world, all with different techniques and styles but with a similar sound…the Apartment 1907 sound. The Apartment 1907 sound tries to move away from that “experimental minimal” sound that you are accustomed to listening to on other net labels. We are oriented towards tech house and micro house music where percussion are very noticeable, having the obvious minimal tendencies which makes it a more dance floor friendly sound.

Here in Apartment 1907 we try to make things different. You will see that we do not have “remixes” of original tracks. Instead, we have interpretations. Interpretations are our way of describing a remix. Also, each of our releases (excluding VAs) have four tracks, at least two of these being an original mix and the remaining being interpretations.
